Network Status
The ARE Computer Services unit is staffed by three Programmers and one Computer Resource Specialist. Our mission is to provide outstanding computer support to faculty and student research projects. Our unit provides computing services on the latest technology Linux-based servers as well as on desktop operating systems. We have the latest versions of many econometric, statistical and mathematical modeling programs, we provide wireless and wired networking in our lab and every office, departmental e-mail, web mail, and data entry services.
Computer Lab
The ARE Computer Lab provides access to the Internet and extensive modeling and mathematical software packages on Apple iMacs, PowerMac G4s, and Windows Pentium desktops. The lab also has three high-volume laser printers. It is accessible by faculty, staff, and graduate students in the department 24/7/365 using departmental issued key cards. There is a No Food or Drink Policy in the Lab.
