CALPERS Intern Position
The Asset Allocation / Risk Management unit of the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) plans to hire an intern primarily to assist with data automation, primarily data compilation and transfer and backtesting financial models. The intern may also be asked to perform statistical analysis and provide other services as needed. Key skills include database programming, statistical analysis, and an ability to work well with others. Programming experience with Visual Basic, C++, or Matlab would be a plus.
The intern position is for up to 20 hours per week, potentially more during summer months, through August 2009. The location is 400 Q St. Sacramento. The pay range is $10 to $13 per hour depending on academic and professional experience.
